In this day and age; I believe that the message of Salvation is being watered down; and not hitting the nail of “Inherit Eternal Life.
“We have too many professing christians out there who are going to have a rude awakening when they stand before the Lord on Judgement Day. They are talking the talk but, they are not walking the walk. They have not let God into their heart.
Without God in your heart you are powerless to change in any way.
Only God can change a “a dead heart into a living heart;” a “heart of stone into a heart of flesh;” and a “rebel into a worshiper.”
Being a “good person” and doing “good works” does not get you into heaven. Ephesians 2:8-9…For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
Giving and tithing is a wonderful thing…It will bring us many benefits and blessings. (This is one of God’s Commands)…It will not get you into heaven. Malachi 3:10… Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
There is much mis-conception about the wealthy. Many believe that it is easier for the wealthy to enter into heaven. On the contrary…It is almost impossible. Being wealthy isn’t the key here…It is the attitude of your heart. Matthew 19:24… Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”
Now I want to talk about the most widely used; yet confusing avenue of salvation…Repeating a prayer. I know I am going to get a lot of controversy over this; but please hear me out. Saying the Prayer of Salvation is only the starting point.
Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
This is a very powerful word…However…Why are so many christians still stumbling in the dark, not producing much fruit and seeing change? It is because they have skipped over the the second part (most important). As I stated earlier: Without God in your heart you are powerless to change in any way.
So! How do we “Inherit Eternal Life?”Recognizing that you are a sinner and that you need the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior is your first step.
The “One Thing” that will guarantee you Eternal Life is: (drum role please) KNOWING JESUS!!
You must…Abide in Him… Have a “one on one”, personal, daily relationship with Him, through His Word, Worship and Prayer. Your heart must be receptive; fixed; steadfast and hungry for God.When you stand before Him on Judgement Day; Don’t think you can fool Him. He will know whether or not You Know Him.
Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.If you do not truly Know Him…This is what He will say to you: Matthew 7:23 Then I will tell them plainly, “I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!
“You need to search your soul and ask your self this question?
WHAT IS THE LORD GOING TO SAY TO ME?
AM I GOING TO HEAVEN OR HELL!

This article was very much full of God’s Truth. It sheds light on exactly what we need to know to be close to the Lord and gain eternal life. It reminds me of Mark Anthony’s song, I Need To Know. This is what we need to know to have eternal life and be with our Savior forever!

Some people know all about Jesus but do not know Him personally having never repented of their sin(s) and trusting HIM and HIM only for their salvation
